Popular with the ?Victorians?, Apple ?Laxton?s Superb? is a classic, old fashioned English apple with an orange-red blushed skin and a crisp, firm flesh. The fruits are aromatic with a sweet flavour similar to ?Cox?s Orange Pippin?. However this variety is hardier and copes well in cold or exposed areas. Harvest this dessert apple in October. Fruits may be stored until January.
