The fruits are best eaten freshly picked in September as they won’t keep for long. Pear ‘Beth is a reliable and heavy cropping variety, making it a popular choice for gardens and orchards. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator.
